Red River Delta – Hai Phong Tourism Fair 2013 opened in Haiphong City
(TITC) - In the framework of Culture, Sports and Tourism Week of the Red River Delta – Hai Phong 2013 associated with the 2nd Red Flamboyant Festival Hai Phong in the afternoon 10th May 2013, at Hai Phong Fine Arts Exhibition Center, the opening ceremony of Red River Delta – Hai Phong Tourism Fair 2013 with the theme “Continuing Red River civilization” took place.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, General Director of VNAT Nguyen Van Tuan highly appreciated preparation for Red River Delta – Hai Phong Tourism Fair 2013 of Hai Phong City, it facilitated for enterprises, units to promote products and destinations of localities, regions in the country. He also appreciated the active participation of enterprises, tourism associations of provinces in the open Red River Delta region. Mr. Tuan confirmed this is a highly specialized activity to link promotion and development of tourism products and also to contribute to praising the tourism sector in the condition facing many difficulties and challenges.
Also at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Khac Nam - Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City’s People’s Committee, Standing Chief of Organization Committee of National Tourism Year 2013 emphasized that the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week of Red River Delta – Hai Phong and the 2nd Red Flamboyant Festival are the core activities to promote and introduce the image of Hai Phong City with people nationwide and international tourists. The Red River Delta – Hai Phong Tourism Fair is an important highlight to create opportunities of cooperation and exchange among Hai Phong City with provinces and cities in tourism field as well as economy, culture, society fields, thereby opening many tours, routes connecting between the provinces and cities, attract a lot of domestic and foreign tourists.
During the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week of Red River Delta - Hai Phong 2013, besides the fair, many excellent cultural, art activities are also held such as introduction of Hai Phong cuisine records; performance of dispensing beverages; processing tuna rolls, crab spring rolls, Hai Phong crab noodle; carnival street parade; exchange among Tourism Associations of Red River Delta provinces; exchange program of traditional folk songs of Red River Delta, fireworks, dragon-lion dance…
The fair will be held until 14th May 2013.
