What to expect: This is the second most popular route in Halong Bay which covers the central part or the core area of World Heritage Site of Halong Bay and it shares the same characteristics like the World Heritage route. The different is that most boats which are operated on this route starting from Tuan Chau Marina Pier. This mean clients board their cruise boats at less crowded pier and they don't need to take a tender to get onto their boats. Most cruise operators have their own cafeteria for check-in procedure thus guests can stretch their legs after 3.5 hour drive from Hanoi. Moreover, it takes shorter time to enter the core zone of World Heritage area and entering the islands/islets of the bay. The longer journeys enables passengers to cover more outlying area such as Lan Ha Bay, Cat Ba Island, Dark Cave, Three Peach Beach... Some superior quality cruise operators re-schedule the route to enable passengers visiting the sites at quieter time and they anchor a away from the crowds making more enjoyable experience.
